Celebrating the community spirit.

So, we are jumping on the Christmas bandwagon now too, why not. It is a wonderful time of year and it brings families, friends, and communities together, so why not celebrate as early as possible?

We will be offering suggestions over the next few weeks and this week, we are talking festivals and pageants! New residents of Amblemead, there is a lot going on that we think you might like…

Stirling Christmas Pageant

Visit your new neighbours in Stirling this November 16th from 11:30am to 3:30pm. The annual pageant showcases over 100 floats and ends in the Stirling Oval where you can shop the stalls full of local goodies. Stay for some face painting too!

The Mount Barker Christmas Pageant

The Mount Barker Christmas Pageant is coming to town on December 3rd. Support from local businesses and Council have enabled the festival to run for almost 34 years. The Floats, costumes, and performers are out of this world and will do doubt bring a smile to faces, young and old.

The Lights of Lobethal

Have you seen the largest Christmas Light Display in the Southern Hemisphere? Come to the Lights of Lobethal! Locals enter their home or Christmas Tree into the competition and are the marvel of many an onlooker. The festival starts Dec 11th and runs until Friday, December 30th.

Running from 16th-18th December, Hanhndorf’s Christkindlmarkt brings Europe to Adelaide. Celebrating the Christmas Spirit as done in European cities, the event will be host to the best of local artistry, food and drink. If you are living at Amblemead, this is a must do and only 9km away from home.

We hope you are getting into the Holiday Spirit and we hope that you enjoy the countless events in the communities around you! Keep checking our blog for more community news and onsite updates.
