If you've been around Amblemead lately, you've probably already met Norman - the Kelpie Collie cross from the Yorke Peninsula. Over the past 5 weeks Norman has become a welcoming member of the Amblemead community. While his landscaper dad was labouring away, Normy quickly decided the tools weren't for him and took on the supervisory role of “Norman the Foreman”.
When he wasn’t inspecting the tradie’s lunch boxes, Norman spent his days roaming the estate checking in on everyone on site - from Lisa in the Sales Centre to the builders working on individual homes and everyone in between. He was always the first to welcome new visitors to Amblemead with an enthusiastic hello, followed up by an invitation of pats and few throws of his ball - at least when he knows its whereabouts!
Once Norman was happy that everything was in order - or he caught a flutter of feathers out of the corner of his eye - he'd set off on a wild duck chase across allotments, over hill tops and under trees, along grass, gravel, rock and cement and even splash into the waters of the Amblemead Lake. Those pesky ducks needed to know who's in charge! Once refreshed and thoroughly wet, Norman often ventured off to visit his favourite Amblemead neighbours, where he got to play with kids and teach them a thing or two about fetch, until he realised it was time to lap up a knock off water and head back to check on dad.
Norman's dad is the talented Matty from Oustide Matters, who’s been working hard perfecting the landscaping of the beautiful Amblemead Homestead. This home is soon to be released to the market - keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for its release.
Thankfully Norm never ended up catching a duck but he did fast become a site favourite, creating his own adventurous Amblemead story. We’re proud to be creating a master-planned community with a wide open space reserve where young ones can run free and play amongst nature. While Norman has now moved on to supervise his next job site, we’re excited for our first residents who are soon to be moving in, beginning their own Amblemead stories.
