What Is Benched & Retained Land?

Amblemead prides itself on its beautiful rolling hills and slopes that make this estate uniquely picturesque - however, we understand that building your dream home on a slope needs some specialist insight. Flat blocks allow for a wide range of home designs, they’re cheaper to build on, they offer a better setting for outdoor space and mean you can easily design the home of your dreams.

We understand flat blocks can be golden in some eyes, that’s why we have benched and retained selected blocks here at Amblemead!

What Is Benched & Retained Land?

To create your dream home on a flat or benched level, the developer undertakes extensive cutting and filling along the length of the property. Land is generally not a completely flat surface, so retaining walls are put in place to structure and support the soil when the natural ground level has been altered.

Why Is It Important To Me?

We've taken the expense and hassle out of flattening a block off your hands. The developer has flattened a range of blocks at their own cost to ensure there will be no hidden cost on your end, whilst allowing you to build your dream home sooner and smoothly.

Stage 3 still has a selection of benched and retained blocks available, only a few minutes’ walk from the Amblemead Reserve, complete with playground, a permanent lake, boardwalk and kick-about area, along with walking trails through the reserve to access the soon-to-be-built shopping village with a Woolworths and specialty shops.
